Titanium gantry extrusion backers for the Salad Fork 160mm build. These Lightweight Labware plates are sized for the 1515-extrusion Salad Fork and are based on whoppingpochard's open-source extrusion-backer design for counteracting gantry bow from rail/extrusion thermal expansion.
Why use titanium backers?
- Extrusion backers mount opposite the linear rails so the gantry is less prone to bimetal-style movement as the printer warms up.
- The original Voron mod documents titanium backers as a lighter, high-performance alternative to steel backer plates.
- Useful on compact enclosed machines where a small mesh shift can matter more than it looks on paper.
