ASA-CF Filament

Decent ASA-CF in Black is a carbon-fiber reinforced ASA filament for stiff, weather-ready functional prints. Use it when plain ASA is not rigid enough and PLA or PETG will not survive sunlight, heat, or outdoor service.

Why choose ASA-CF?

Printing notes

• Use an enclosure. ASA is draft-sensitive and prints best in a ventilated enclosed printer.
• Use a wear-resistant nozzle. Carbon-fiber filament is abrasive; pair it with a hardened steel nozzle, DLC, ruby, or tungsten-carbide nozzle.
• Dry before tuning if needed. If you see popping, steam, rough extrusion, or excess stringing, dry the spool before chasing slicer settings.

Good fits

• Outdoor printer parts, brackets, ducts, mounts, enclosures, panels, fixtures, and functional prototypes that need stiffness plus UV/weather resistance.
• Voron-style enclosed printers and other enclosed FDM machines set up for abrasive engineering filament.

What it is not

• Not a brass-nozzle filament; carbon fiber will wear ordinary brass nozzles.
• Not a low-odor open-frame PLA replacement. Treat it like ASA: ventilate, enclose, and manage warping.
• Not the best choice for highly impact-loaded parts where toughness matters more than stiffness.
