Replacement M4 nozzles for the Phaetus/DropEffect XG hotend in 1.75 mm filament sizes. Choose brass for everyday materials, hardened steel for abrasive blends, or plated copper when you want better heat transfer and a cleaner exterior surface.

Why this over a standard V6 nozzle

  • The DropEffect XG uses an M4 threaded nozzle; standard V6/M6 nozzles are not the right fit.
  • Available here in the common XG sizes: 0.4 mm, 0.6 mm, and 0.8 mm for 1.75 mm filament.
  • Material choices match the job: brass for PLA/PETG/ABS/ASA/TPU, hardened steel for carbon- or glass-filled abrasive filament, plated copper for higher thermal response and reduced plastic buildup versus bare brass.

Specifications

  • Brand / ecosystem: Phaetus / DropEffect XG
  • Thread: M4
  • Filament: 1.75 mm
  • Diameters: 0.4 mm, 0.6 mm, 0.8 mm
  • Materials: brass, hardened steel, plated copper
  • Use: replacement nozzle for DropEffect XG hotend installations

How to pick

  • Brass: best default for non-abrasive filament and normal print temperatures.
  • Hardened steel: use for PA-CF, PET-CF, glow, glass-filled, and other abrasive blends.
  • Plated copper: use when you want stronger heat transfer than hardened steel and an easier-to-clean plated surface.
  • 0.4 mm: detail/default; 0.6 mm: faster everyday printing; 0.8 mm: coarse, high-throughput prints.

Fitment and related parts

These nozzles are for the Phaetus/DropEffect XG hotend ecosystem. If you are refreshing the whole hotend, the live companion part in the shop is the Phaetus/DropEffect high-temperature M4 threaded thermistor.

Gotchas

  • Not a V6/M6 nozzle. Do not buy this for Dragon, Dragonfly, Rapido, or other standard V6-style hotends unless your setup specifically uses the DropEffect XG M4 nozzle format.
  • Match nozzle material to filament: brass wears quickly with abrasive filled filaments.
  • Install hot and torque gently according to your hotend service routine; small M4 nozzles are easier to over-tighten than larger V6-style nozzles.
