Phaetus plated-copper V6-style nozzle for 1.75 mm filament. A high-conductivity M6 nozzle for V6-style hotends, built for stable extrusion and higher-temperature materials where ordinary brass runs out of thermal headroom.
Why pick plated copper over brass?
- 500°C maximum printing temperature for high-temperature polymers such as PEEK, PEKK, PEI, PSU and PPSU.
- 330 W/m·K thermal conductivity helps keep the nozzle tip evenly heated during fast or high-flow printing.
- Nickel-plated copper alloy improves smoothness and reduces plastic sticking compared with bare brass.
- Ra < 0.4 internal roughness helps keep extrusion consistent through the filament path.

Fitment
Use this anywhere you need a standard V6-style 1.75 mm M6 nozzle, including compatible Phaetus hotends such as the Phaetus Dragonfly BMO. If you are refreshing a V6 toolhead, pair it with a clean Phaetus V6 threaded bi-metal heatbreak while the hotend is apart.
How to choose
- 0.4 mm is the everyday baseline for PLA, PETG, ABS and ASA.
- 0.6 mm and 0.8 mm trade fine detail for higher flow, stronger walls and faster functional prints.
- For ordinary non-abrasive work where cost matters more than temperature headroom, see the Phaetus brass V6-style nozzle.
- For carbon fiber, glass fiber, glow or other abrasive blends, use a hardened option like the Phaetus DLC hardened steel V6-style nozzle instead.
What it is not
This is not a Volcano-length nozzle and it is not a hardened abrasive-filament nozzle. It is the standard V6 / PS M6 plated-copper nozzle for 1.75 mm filament.
“Good nozzles — these are my daily drivers… Copper plated means it’s got great conductivity.”
