Igus Chainflex® CF113-007-D measuring system cable — sold by the foot. The drop cable Klipper builders reach for when a toolhead umbilical has to bend forever without breaking. (4×0.34 mm²) star-quad, 22 AWG, shielded, PUR outer jacket (yellow-green, RAL 6018), halogen-free, oil-resistant, flame-retardant — built for permanent flexing in e-chain® systems, including the Voron 2.4 / Trident / V0 toolhead-to-MCU umbilical and any CAN bus, sensor or 22 AWG signal run that has to survive millions of cycles at 10 m/s.

One unit = 1 foot. Need a different length? Just add the number of feet to your cart.

Why this cable over generic stranded wire

  • Built for permanent flex. igus® classifies CF113.D as Class 6.5.3.1 — the highest e-chain® service-life band (extremely heavy duty). The jacket is pressure-extruded PUR around a TPE inner jacket, with bending-stable tinned-copper conductors and tinned-copper braiding (≈70% linear / ≈90% optical coverage) on each element and the overall cable.
  • Star-quad stranding. The (4×0.34 mm²)C layout keeps the two twisted pairs length-matched and tightly coupled — exactly what CAN bus wants for clean differential signalling, and equally good for sensor / probe runs where common-mode noise kills accuracy.
  • 22 AWG, 4 conductors, 6.5 mm OD. Enough copper to carry a single hotend heater (or two in parallel) plus two signal pairs, in a thin flexible jacket that doesn't fight your cable chain. Not rated to feed a long heater + part-cooling fan from a single cable — pick CF11x with a power pair for that.
  • CFRIP® tear strip. Strip the jacket in seconds, no nick-in-the-insulation risk on the inner cores.
  • PUR over PVC. Halogen-free, coolant- and oil-resistant per DIN EN 50363-10-2, flame retardant to IEC 60332-1-2 / VW-1 / FT-1, hydrolysis- and microbe-resistant — survives hot enclosed printer electronics, coolant mist, and a greasy workshop.
  • Real specs, not marketing. Classified for e-chain® linear travel up to 100 m, max speed 10 m/s unsupported / 5 m/s gliding, max acceleration 50 m/s². 36-month igus® chainflex® guarantee.

How much do I need?

Buyers typically order 5–8 ft for a Voron 2.4 / Trident toolhead umbilical (most users land around 6 ft toolhead-to-MCU), and ~1–2 ft for a Voron V0 round-motor umbilical. Add 1–2 ft of slack for service loops and strain relief. Listing is priced per foot — order the number of feet you need.

What it is not

  • Not a power cable. 22 AWG / 4 cores is for a single hotend and signal pairs only. For longer runs, high-amperage heaters, or bundled bed / part-cooling power, step up to a heavier chainflex® variant (CF11x with a power pair) or run power and signal separately.
  • Not a generic hookup wire. PVC hookup wire and silicone wire will fail in millions of e-chain® cycles. The PUR / TPE / braid stack is the point.
  • Not terminated. This is bulk cable by the foot — no connectors, no JSTs, no ferrules. Crimp / solder / solder-seal to your own spec.
