ABS-GF Filament - Blue

Blue ABS-GF filament for stiff, functional 3D printed parts. This Decent filament spool is glass-fiber reinforced ABS: the material choice when you want more rigidity and dimensional stability than standard ABS, with a bright blue finish that still reads clean on printer parts and shop fixtures.

Why use ABS-GF instead of plain ABS?

• Glass-fiber reinforcement improves stiffness and helps parts hold shape under load.
• ABS base resin keeps the heat resistance and toughness builders expect for functional enclosed-printer parts.
• Matte, fiber-filled appearance helps hide layer lines better than glossy commodity ABS.

Best uses

• Voron-style printer parts, brackets, covers, ducts, fixtures, jigs, and other functional components.
• Parts where stiffness and heat tolerance matter more than flex or cosmetic gloss.
• Blue accent parts when you want engineering filament performance without another black spool.

Printing notes

• Use a hardened nozzle. Glass-filled filament is abrasive and will wear standard brass nozzles quickly. Pair it with a hardened V6-style nozzle such as the Phaetus hardened steel V6 nozzle or Phaetus DLC hardened steel V6 nozzle.
• Use an enclosed printer. ABS-based materials print best with stable chamber temperatures and controlled cooling.
• Dry before critical prints. If the spool has been open, dry it like other engineering filaments before long or dimension-critical jobs.

What it is not

• Not PLA or PETG; expect ABS-style fumes, shrink behavior, and enclosure requirements.
• Not for brass-nozzle convenience printing unless you are willing to replace the nozzle.
• No manufacturer-origin, exact glass percentage, or net-spool-weight claim is made here because those details are not verified from the product record or visible packaging.
