CNC XOL Carriage

CNC-machined aluminum carriage for Xol Toolhead builds. The official DW-Tas CNC Xol-Carriage replaces the printed Xol carriage with a lightweight aluminum mount for front-facing MGN9H or MGN12H rail carriages.

Why use the CNC Xol-Carriage

• Metal carriage body: a rigid CNC-milled aluminum version of the original Xol-Carriage used by the Armchair Heavy Industries Xol Toolhead project.
• MGN9H and MGN12H support: the official FAQ states it works with front-facing MGN9H or MGN12H rails/carriages.
• Beacon/Carto friendly: DW-Tas notes the aluminum section through the probe keep-out zone does not move relative to the coil and has not shown sensor impact in practice.
• Thicker-belt tolerance: the design supports the Xol pin-and-tube belt retention path, with official notes for EPDM or GT3 belts.

Fitment and required parts

• For Xol Toolhead carriage assemblies on printers using front-facing MGN9H or MGN12H rails/carriages.
• Printed Xol belt clips and a probe module are still required from the Xol Toolhead project.
• Mounts to the MGN carriage with M3x6 SHCS instead of the printed-carriage M3x8 SHCS called out in the base assembly docs.
• The Xol belt path requires metal pins and tube hardware; pair it with Archetype Pins and Archetype Belt Clip Tube if you are sourcing the belt-retention hardware separately.

What it is not

• Not a complete Xol toolhead kit.
• Not a rail, carriage block, probe, fan, duct, printed-part set, or belt hardware bundle unless those parts are explicitly included in your order.
