High-temperature cartridge thermistor for hotend heater blocks. This Runice sensor is sold as a 104GT-2 / 104NT-4-style 100K NTC thermistor with a 1 m cable, spring strain relief at the hotend end, and a 2-pin JST-XH plug on the board end.

Why use a cartridge thermistor?

  • Cleaner hotend service: the long pre-terminated lead makes it easier to remove the hotend without cutting or re-crimping the temperature sensor wiring.
  • Better strain relief: the spring section protects the fragile sensor leads where they exit the heater block.
  • Known firmware family: 104GT-2 / 104NT-4 sensors are the common high-temperature 100K NTC profile used by many V6-style hotend builds.

Specifications

  • Sensor family: 104GT-2 / 104NT-4-style 100K NTC thermistor cartridge
  • Cable length: 1 m
  • Connector: 2-pin JST-XH
  • Hotend-side protection: spring strain relief at the cartridge lead exit
  • Firmware reference: common profiles include Marlin thermistor type 5 and Klipper ATC Semitec 104NT-4-R025H42G; confirm your control board and firmware table before heating

Fitment and pairing

Use this for cartridge-style hotend heater blocks that accept a 104GT-2 / 104NT-4-class thermistor. Pair it with a high-temperature heater cartridge such as the 50W, 60W, or 70W heater cartridges when rebuilding a hotend harness.

Choose the right sensor

  • Use this cartridge when your heater block takes a smooth cartridge sensor and your board harness uses a JST-XH temperature input.
  • Use a PT1000 temperature sensor instead when your build calls for PT1000 firmware configuration or higher-temperature sensing hardware.
  • Use a threaded sensor such as the M3 threaded thermistor or M4 threaded thermistor when the heater block has a threaded sensor port.

Gotchas before you install

  • This is the temperature sensor only — it is not a heater cartridge.
  • Do not heat the hotend until the firmware sensor type is set correctly; the wrong thermistor table can make the hotend read dangerously high or low.
  • Confirm the connector and pin spacing against your harness. JST-XH is not the same as Molex Micro-Fit or bare-lead thermistor wiring.
