Small stainless M2 self-tapping screws for printed parts, electronics, and light-duty printer repairs. Each pack contains 100 hex-socket socket-cap screws in the selected length: M2x8, M2x10, or M2x12.

Why use these instead of a standard machine screw?

  • Self-tapping point: forms its own thread in plastic, thin sheet, wood, and other light-duty materials where no threaded insert, nut, or tapped hole is available.
  • Socket-cap head: gives a positive hex-key drive and a compact cylindrical head that is easier to service than tiny Phillips heads.
  • Stainless steel: better corrosion resistance than plain carbon steel for printer bays, electronics enclosures, and general shop hardware. Grade is not specified by the supplier.

Intended use

Use these for small 3D-printer printed parts, probe mounts, electronics covers, light brackets, panels, and repairs where a small thread-forming screw is the right call. If you need drivers, check the Ball Head Hex Keys. For full build hardware bags instead of loose M2 tapping screws, see the Voron V0 Fasteners Kit, Salad Fork Fastener Kit, or Millennium Mills Milo v1.5 Fastener Kit.

How to choose length

  • M2x8: thin printed walls, light covers, and shallow bosses.
  • M2x10: the general-purpose choice when you need a little more bite.
  • M2x12: deeper bosses or stacked parts where the screw will not bottom out.

Gotchas

  • These are not machine screws for nuts, heat-set inserts, or pre-tapped metal holes.
  • These are self-tapping, not self-drilling; use an appropriate pilot hole in brittle plastics or harder material.
  • Do not use as a structural or safety-critical fastener, and do not substitute for a project BOM where a machine screw is specified.
