Ultra-high-flow 104NT hotend for speed-focused 1.75 mm printers. The Phaetus / DropEffect neXt G 104NT uses a ceramic heating plate, V6 nozzle interface, and Dragon-style footprint for high-flow extrusion without forcing a full toolhead redesign.

Why this over a standard hotend?

  • Up to 45 mm³/s published flow target with the UHF groove adapter installed.
  • Rigid kinematic coupling locks the heater block to reduce bending and help protect the heatbreak during nozzle changes or print strikes.
  • V6-style nozzle compatibility keeps nozzle sourcing simple; pair it with our Phaetus copper-plated V6 nozzles or Phaetus hardened-steel V6 nozzles.
  • Dragon-style mounting footprint fits many Voron, Creality, and Dragon-compatible toolhead mounts; Prusa use is supported with the included groove-mount adapter.

Fitment and use

Use this for fast PLA, ABS, PETG, and similar high-flow builds where you want Dragon-style mount compatibility and V6 nozzle choice. It is a natural fit for Voron toolheads that support Dragon-style hotends, Prusa MK2/MK3-style groove-mount conversions, and Creality setups with the right adapter.

Gotchas

  • This is the 104NT / 280°C+ neXt G version, not the PT1000 Fiber version.
  • For sustained abrasive CF/GF work, use an appropriate hardened nozzle; the standard kit includes plated copper nozzles.
  • Firmware must be configured for the 104NT thermistor, followed by PID tuning and retraction / pressure-advance tuning after installation.
  • Some compact toolheads need adapter or wire-clearance checks because the heater and thermistor leads protrude from the assembly.
Verified buyer note: “This hotend is really awesome… with a very short melt zone… same exact dimensions as the Phaetus Dragon without the UHF.”
