Loctite 290 Threadlocker: Medium-Strength, High-Temp - 6 ml Tube

A threadlocker with a thin, low-viscosity formulation, adept at penetrating narrow gaps and fissures, thus perfectly suitable for securing preassembled fasteners.

This product, LOCTITE® 290, presents as a green adhesive with medium to high strength, specifically developed for locking and sealing threaded fasteners. Its low viscosity allows it to seep into engaged threads through capillary action, obviating the necessity for dismantling before application. This characteristic also renders it effective for sealing pores in welded joints, castings, and components made from powdered metal. The product is an anaerobic adhesive that hardens when confined in air-free environments between tightly fitting metal surfaces, thereby safeguarding against loosening and leakage caused by shocks and vibrations.

• Prevents fastener loosening on vibrating assemblies, e.g., pumps, gear boxes, or presses.
