Kirigami Beds by Christoph Mueller

Lightweight, stiff Kirigami bed carriage for Voron V0 builds. Christoph Mueller’s open-source Kirigami design replaces the stock multi-piece V0 bed support with a laser-cut and bent single-piece sheet-metal carriage, while keeping the bed mounting screws accessible for service and adjustment.

Why use the Kirigami bed?

• Stiffer bed support with less mass: the Kirigami structure is designed as a lightweight single-piece carriage instead of a stack of separate bed-support parts.
• Better service access: the design leaves full access to the mounting screws, so bed work is less painful after the printer is assembled.
• Useful version changes: V2 adds the thermal-fuse cutout; V3 changes the bed-spring holes to slots for about 3 mm of Y-offset adjustment, supporting V0.0 fitment and the Sherpa Mini mod.

Choosing a version

• Choose V3 for most new builds, especially if you want the slotted Y-offset adjustment or are accounting for a Sherpa Mini-style setup.
• Choose V2 only when matching an existing V2 build or older printed-part set. The project notes that V2 can be modified into V3 with some work, but V3 is the cleaner starting point.

This listing is the Kirigami metal bed carriage, not a complete heated-bed, wiring, or hardware kit. Print the Kirigami-specific plastic parts from the project files and check the GitHub BOM against your build. If you are refreshing hardware, we also stock M3 heat-set inserts and a Voron V0 fasteners kit; verify the exact screw lengths before ordering.

Not included / gotchas

• Not a heated bed, heater pad, magnetic base, PEI spring-steel sheet, or complete LDO-style electronics kit.
• Printed plastic parts are not included.
• On V3, set the Y offset in the slotted spring mounts, then tighten the bed securely so the carriage cannot creep.
